Job PurposeCo-ordinates requirements and applies procedures associated with the applications involved 
with the compilation and implementation of the Workplace Skills Plan and Occupational Health 
and Safety.
Key Responsibility AreasIdentifies training needs in conjunction with line management, providing information on 
the appropriateness of the specific training courses and methods for inclusion into the 
plan.
Collates and provides information on skills shortages.
Prepares and submits the Workplace Skills Plan for the Department.
Identifies and attends to the procurement of service providers for training programmes,
engaging with the Skills Development Unit to clarify requirements and processes.
Schedules training programmes, organizes the venue and confirms date/times and 
course content with the service provider/Skills Development Unit.
Receives confirmation of delegates attending the respective programmes and follows 
up during/on completion of the training, collating, delegate and facilitators feedback on 
the programme.
Performs specific tasks/activities associated with monitoring the application of the
Occupational Health and Safety standards and procedures.
Provides and gathers information with regards to the approaches, constraints and 
remedial actions related to applications and processes.
Maintains functional registers, records and schedules and provides activity related 
reports.

Essential RequirementsGrade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent.
Certificate in Occupationally Directed Education and Training Development Programme
(ODETDP).
Certificate in Health and Safety Management.
Valid motor vehicle driving license
3 years relevant experience
Computer Literacy
Preferred RequirementsDiploma (NQF Level 6) or equivalent in Public Management or Public Administration.
4 Years relevant experience.
